VER DOOR SET
VER set Contents
VER door motors are available in four sizes. The rails can be chain or belt, and in single or 2 pieces. VER sets include a radio receiver and one remote. Additional control devices may be added later. Garage door openers include pressure sensitive reversal, but additional safety devices may be added to pass the mandatory force test.
|
Up and over door openers fit directly to horizontally tracked garage doors and sectional overhead doors. They can be used on light weight vertically tracked garage doors, but need the V201 canopy door convertor.
There are adaptors for outward opening light weight swing doors. The opener needs to be reversed.
FTX DOOR SET
Most garage swing doors open outwards. FTL motors have pressure sensitive reversal for some protection, but you should consider an extra set of photobeams on posts to protect the area covered by the swinging door. Doors are also solid, so will catch gusts of wind that will affect the pressure sensitivity.

Double leaf door sets have a standard set of components. Additional control devices may be added later. Additional safety devices will probably be required to pass the mandatory force test.

FERNIE articulated arm sets are used for barn doors and heavy swing garage doors. The motors mount to the door lintel. An electric lock can be fitted to the centre of the lintel for extra security. Fit one to the floor as well for high security that a special car deserves.
You should consider an extra set of photobeams on posts to protect the area covered by the swinging door. Close boarded doors will catch gusts of wind that will affect the pressure sensitivity.
FERNIE's have encoders for safety reversal, and also limit switches for end of travel. The ZM3E control panel allows detailed setting. It takes the CAME connect device for smartphone control.
SLIDING DOOR SETS
Sliding doors were popular on older stable blocks and industrial premises. Most domestic sliding barn doors are in bi-parting pairs where they offer a secure solution for valuable vehicles.
Automation needs to be mounted inside, so outside doors may need to be re-hung. An up and over door opener can be used on each door if there is sufficient space.
|
Our solutions are from industrial door automation. A sliding gate motor is adapted to replace the toothed rack with a circulating chain. The top chain is fixed to one door, the bottom chain to the second door. The 12m chain in the example above is suitable for a 5m opening
Sectional doors are popular for wide openings. Door leaves (~ 600mm wide) are hung on an overhead track linked together with vertical hinges so the door can turn corners.
Chain & motor can be fixed to the lintel, or on the wall along which the door slides. Bi-parting sectional doors are possible, but unusual. A sectional door must run smoothly to be automated successfully.
